Jessie J - Price Tag (Feat. B.o.B.)

Jessie J is quickly becoming my favorite upcoming artist of this year.  Her freshly sense of swag, clothes, just everything about her makes her so unique, and this video really proves it.  Thank goodness this video doesn't reflect how much of a skank she was on her first video.  I'd rather she'd be more lenient to this route in terms of her style and none of that mandemmandem hooka-hooka-hooka-shit. Go on Jessie!

David Guetta Feat. Rihanna - Who's That Chick

Flashy video.  Kinda odd how this song came out like years ago, but glad the video finally arrived.  I do appreciate the effort the directors did with this video.  How the camera angles flashed all over the place, how it is massively easy to get a seizure off of those colorful rainbows and photoshopped font texts.  Rihanna looks hot.  Guetta looks plain as usual.  I guess that's how he wants to portray himself.  As the plain French dude who DJ's in the background.  Have some style mangg.

Alexis Jordan - Good Girl

Very flashy video.  Shows all sides to Alexis' persona.  The sultry, the seductive, the geeky?  The geeky part doesn't quite fit  to the others.  Slick dance moves.  Very beautiful.  I'll definitely cross my fingers and say this will be a hit.  It definitely takes time growing to like this song, however.

Avril Lavigne - What The Hell

Hmmm, that was quite a video.  I'm not entirely convinced of her acting, but dang.... Look at that amazing figure of hers.  Other than that, this was quite a typical fun, trashy Avril.  I don't think the video will help her out in the charts (in some countries).  Just a thought.

Nadia Ali - Rapture (Avicii Remix)

*jawdrops*  I didn't realize how amazingly beautiful Nadia was (not like she ever was, but back in '02 I never really fancied her) until now.  Especially her wearing that Latex suit.  She weerks like Britney has never did.  That smile.. Oh what else can I say about that smile.  It's absolutely gorgeous.  And I love the fact that this video is solely on her.  My absolute favorite part is around the 1:10 mark where she whips her hair on beat, and of course... That thing she is wearing.  Oh, and the parts where she stares at us upwards, with that gorgeous smile... *sigh*

Jodie Connor - Lover Like You

(Not a single, but maybe sooner or later...) The girl who did 'Now Or Never', which currently is doing pretty well (Top 20 in the mid-weeks) for an upcoming artist. Her voice is just so pure, simple, and... Oddly fascinating.  I still don't have a feeling she won't stick around.  Granted, she has the whole production to back her up, (and Wiley & others) but her personality-wise isn't really anything special to be really honest.  Though, I absolutely ADORE her super sweet, lubeydubey attitude.  Her voice is so...  Sweet and innocent.

Jessie J - Price Tag (Feat. B.o.B.)

Very generic.  Same melodies, chords to make a perfect pop song.  Jessie + Bob did justice though.  Kinda surprised how this song is completely different from her first single.  The first she talks about being 'dirtydirtydirtydirty', now she's trying to pull an inspirational speech of our economic problems and crap like that.  Heh, great song I guess.

Katy B - Lights On (Feat. Ms. Dynamite)

Jungle jam.  SMASH IT.

Gutsy, not revolutionary.

1/8/11

JLS Feat. Tinie Tempah - Eyes Wide Shut

One of the VERY FEW tracks that I enjoy off of their album, "Outta This World", JLS releases their next upcoming single, Eyes Wide Shut.  I must admit, I was sold on the theme of this music video.  It doesn't matter which artist does it, but I'm always a sucker for trippy, abstract looking effects.  Particularly, the part where those square tiles fall off the tracks while Marvin's all walking slowly (like a boss).  Given the fact that this song has that typical 'dance pop' edge to it, I like the fact they didn't exactly overkill the dance vibe.  Unlike other artists (*cough* Enrique *cough* Pitbull) who just tries to make a song successful by adding unnecessary whiny, electro, fiddling noises in their track.  (See 'Tonight (I'm F**kin' You)' & 'Hey Baby').  On a side note, I was disappointed with Tinie's appearance here.  It just seems like he's... There, and not actually rapping as much (which sucks cause I know he's far better rapping than what he did here).
