CLUBLAND 18 - The death of club music.

I swear, I think after this compilation, I'll be done with this album for good.  First of all, the album starts off strong.  Then after a set of maybe twelve or so tracks.  It's a whole shenanigans of Jorg Shit-land, lame Pop remixes, Random eurocheese music, etc. etc. etc.  So let's start off with the good.

CD ONE.
01. Duck Sauce -   Barbra Streisand
Dance Anthem Of the Year, next to you know.. BA-BA-Americano.  / A+

02. Cascada - Night Nurse
New, unknown track of Cascada's next single.  Following their footsteps on that same-ol' Gaga-esque beat, this no doubt does not disappoint. / A

03. Inna Feat Bob Taylor - Deja Vu
The repetitive Romanian sound is getting a bit old for Inna.  Still catchy nevertheless. / A

04. N-Dubz - Best Behaviour (Jorg Schmid Remix)
I was expecting something the usual shit Jorg does.  It gets a bit typical through the chorus, but since FOR ONCE N-Dubz saves the remix by their catchy hook lines, I will not complain at all.  Although, I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome of this remix. / B+

05. Tinchy Stryder Feat Taio Cruz - Second Chance
A remix would do.  But you know how this compliation goes nowadays.  Anything goes *shrugs*.  Catchy song, can't lie. / A-

06. Darren Styles - Holding On
A song above 160BPM or some sort on the.. Clubland?  Heh (reads above).  Never mind that, this is one AWESOME TUNE! / A+

07. Ultrabeat - Bring It Back
Hmm.. A dance-y tune from the trio?  Pretty decent if I say so myself. / A

08. Italo Brothers - Radio Hardcore
My golly, this may be my favourite Italo Brothers song!  After my first listen, I already knew the words to the song.  EPIC. / A+

09. The Wanted - Heart Vacancy (Djs From Mars Remix Radio Edit)
Boybands are a trend in Clubland these days.  Excellent remix. / A-

10. The Saturdays - Higher (7Th Heaven Remix Radio Edit)
Very uplifting.  Thanks ladies for lifting up me spirits.  HIYAAA! / A+

11. Shontelle - Impossible (Jonas Jerberg Remix)
Slow R&B crap.  Yet, this is a very, very stable and heavenly one. / A

12. Edward Maya - This Is My Life
This song has such a raw, emotional feeling of a dance song.  And usually, typical dance songs don't provide that.  Sensational. / A+

(then it goes extremely downhill from here... )

13. Booty Callers - Forget You (Jorg Shit Remix)
This, however.  Oh dear. You sacked a vocalist for this one? Oh dear. / D

14. Rudedog - Feel The Power Of Bass
The chorus is all you need. The verses, intro, whatever should not be needed.  Ruins the whole vibe of the song, I'm afraid. / B+

15. Clk / No Matter What
Great for cheerleading practice. / C-

16. Kylain Mash Feat Akon & Glasses / Club Certified
The part where Akon says 'Club Certified' extremely fast irritates the heck out of me.  Other than that, average, typical Guetta-type song. / C-

17. Loveline (AKA Jorg Shit + other vocalists) - Shape Of My Heart
BSB has resurrected.  Or no wait...  Anywho, typical crap the dawwg does to impress the teenage audience. The vocalists have a lovely voice however, which literally saved this cover. / B-

18. Michael Mind Project Feat Mandy Ventrice & Carlprit - Delirious
First of all, the rapper needs to get sacked.  Why must need a rapper??!  It's obvious Mind is a sellout.  First with his 'BBTL' song, which back in day repetitive beach party house was a hit.  Then on with 'Show Me Love', and then now this.  Yeah, he has no motive to have his own, unique style really. / D

Disc 1 starts off amazingly.  I was literally jamming out through every single track until SOME particular DJ had to ruin a masterpiece of a pop bit this year.  Then everything else gets all gimmicky, and whatever low budget DJ is trying to mimmick in the world of commercial dance these days.

Now for CD TWO.  Hmm, can't wait.
01. Cheryl Cole - Promise This (Jorg Shit Remix)
Actually, this in fact is not a shit remix!  It's a bit long, with the drumline still kicking in a minute after and before the song (which is completely uncecessary!) / B+

02. Avicii & Sebastien Drums - My Feelings For You
Yay for a decent house track.  Nay for me overplaying it during the summer. / A

03. Taio Cruz - Dynamite (Mixin Marc Remix Radio Edit)
Nifty remix.  / B+

04. Fearless & Lois - Not Too Late (N-Force Edit)
guuuuu.... / C-

05. Platnum - Signals (Alex Gaudino & Jason Rooney Remix Radio Edit)
Instant club banger!  / A+

06. Rihanna - Only Girl (In The World) (The Bimbo Jones Club)
Were you lazy enough Clubland for not finding a radio edit of this remix?  Jeez, you're forgiven that this is one kick-ass remix anyways! / A

07. Skepta Feat. Preeya Kalidas / Cross My Heart (Matrix & Futurebound Remix)
The invasion of Drum'N'Bass in Clubland starts with this song.  Not bad, but there are far better tunes than this one. / B-

08. Armin Van Buuren Feat. Sharon Den Adel - In And Out Of Love
Heard this track for three years.  (and in 17 too!) Why repeat it AGAIN? Gah. / B

09. Pixie Lott - Broken Arrow (Ultrabeat Remix)
Expected a lot better if I'm honest.  It's a bit inconsistent, especially with the chorus. Very weird. / C

10. XNRG - Seek Bromance
You cannot outdo Amanda Wilson nor Tim Berg combined.  Covering this song was a sin. / D

11.  Headhunters - Something About You
Could be a cover, since Jorg is such a polished turd for not making any original music.  Corny to the max. / C

12. Steve Aoki & Armand Van Helden - Braaat
Usually I would say that AVH makes decent music.  This song is a bit weird... / B

13. Mad Hatters - What About Now
Generic to the max. / D

14. Junior Caldera Feat. Sophie Ellis Bextor - Can't Fight This Feeling
Weakest dance song Sophie has ever done. / C

15. Ruth Cullen & Marcus Gauntlett - Golden Skies
Pretty tame, mellow, melodic song.  Pretty good choice while you're out with your pals crusing down the highway. / B+

16. Le Kid - Mercy
WTF. / F

17. Martin Solveig & Dragonette - Hello
Amazing. / A

18. Die Antwoord - Enter The Ninja
Before hearing the preview of this song, I died out laughing!  But after skimming through the whole bit, it's not bad really.  Not a place for Clubland, but South Park would fit. / B-

19. Vibeout - Weekend Anthem
Oh my.. Manian just sit in the corner... For long.. / C

So there you have it, CD2.  A surprise twist of old fashion happy-go-lucky tidbit remixes, alongside several surprising house outcomes, and some that are just... Appalling.

CD THREE... Here we go.
01. Yolanda Be Cool & D-Cup - We No Speak Americano (Rap Mix)
This remix makes the rap version of 'Riverside' amazing. *Sigh* / C

02. Stromae - Alors On Dance
I honestly do not see the hype about this song at all. / C

03. Dougal & Gammer - Anybody But You (FNP Remix)
Boring / C

04. TV Rock Feat Zoe Badwi - Release Me
Skippable.  Badwi's 'Freefallin' is an anthem. You should listen to it. / C

05. Nightcrawlers Feat Taio Cruz - Cryin' Over You (Cahill Radio Edit)
Pretty catchy.  But STILL predictable.  Nothing groundbreaking. / B-

06. Partycrashers - Just Be Good To Me
Wow, I didn't expect this.  Some overpowering electro song over here! / A+

07. Edward Maya - Stereo Love (Dave Ramone Remix)
Pretty good.  Nothing beats the original although.  Fact.  / B+

08. Ultra Feat Fearless & Dappy - Addicted To Love (Jorg Shit Remix)
Oh dear.  We got more of this crap... / N/A

09. Tom Boxer Feat Antonia - Morena
Dull. Dull. Dull. / C-

10. Friday Night Posse - Are You Ready For This?
(...) N/A

11. Jenna Lee & Discozid - Runaway
Great, another cover.  Expected from Clubland.  / C+

12. Flip & Fill - I Need Air
Another cover..  Yet, this one is acceptable.  More of a bouncy version of it, and it does not overkill the original like most of these tracks do in this album.  THANK GOODNESS.  / A

13. Ezcapade - When The Beat Drops
Eurocheese Gold.  / B-

14. N-Trance - Is This Love (Freeloaders Radio Edit)
Decent.  A bit corny at times, the 'say yeah' kills the mood.  Dave 'Dorell' should be proud. / B+

15. XNRG - One
Blah-not-anymore-original-wise-land continues to outdo themselves with another MOS hit.  Nice work. / B+

16. Nazene - As If
Great.  Now this has become a 'Bring It On' tribute CD.  Seriously Clubland?  All in seriousness, it's a clever cover I guess.  Nazene has a cute voice.  / B-

17.  Dakota Ray - Feel So Good
Pretty catchy.  Nothing special, yet again.  ARrrrrgh.. / B-

18. Chris Willis - Louder (Put Your Hands Up) (Craig C's Radio Blaster)
I honestly expected something good from this artist.  Boy, was I right.  Although, I would've loved to see the original in here, but this remix is alright, I guess.  At least it has that sort of "CLUB" mood. / B

Overall, CD3 wasn't a big of a mess as I thought it was just looking over Disc Two. It's got its highs and lows, but that's what you can expect from 'Club'land nowadays.

As a whole, I felt like I was contrived to listen to this album.  I was thoroughly enjoying myself over the start of CD1 as well as the start of CD2.  You know what?  I don't even know... It was inconsistent everywhere!  How amazing is that?  Cheeseland 3... arrgh I meant Clubland 18 gets ahem.
